Letter from President
Hello HES!
It is my pleasure to serve as your HESA President for the 2025-2026 academic year. I want to start by thanking the previous presidents, vice presidents, and countless board members who have paved the way for this position. I am honored to be the first President of the now officially recognized student government, thanks to the tireless work of many student leaders, especially last year’s President, Lindsey Siegfried de Sanchez.
It is my sincere goal to continue building on the work of my predecessors and champion initiatives that students would like to see as HES evolves as an institution. I am focusing my presidency on connection. My goal is to foster opportunities for genuine friendships and connections in a globally distributed school. I want your graduation to be a massive celebration, not just of your accomplishment, but that of your friends who are eager to sit with you and cheer you on as you take this next step into your future. I want you to have a network you can reach out to when it is time to search for a new job or make a career pivot. I want you to graduate with a network you can rely on. I want your time at HES to be filled with memories, not just of class, but those who helped you through class and in the in-between moments that make attending a school so memorable.
I know from my previous experience as Vice President that the presidency is not a role that one can undertake without a full commitment and a dedicated team. I am lucky to be joined by a team of incredible student leaders who will create the HES experience this year. I am grateful for my Vice President, Nathan Rogers, who has the most institutional knowledge of any member of HESA. Year after year, I have seen the tireless work that goes into each idea, social media post, fundraising initiative, and event, whether on campus, online, or in a hybrid setting. It is my team that will make this year great. Without this incredible group of individuals who volunteer their time, none of this would be possible.
I promise to do my best to work for students and put in the necessary hours to run this organization. I am so excited for you all to see what we have in store for you this year!
Go Crimson!
