As Director of Student Affairs for the 2018-2019 academic term, Ana will work with the Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) to facilitate communications between the student body, the Harvard Extension School, and HESA. In addition to serving as a channel between students and HESA, Ana is responsible for designing and analyzing the results of student body surveys. She will also be available to students through office hours held bi-weekly throughout the school year.
At Harvard, she served as the founding president of the Harvard Extension School STEM Club during the 2017-2018 academic year. As a first-generation college student who immigrated to the United States from Brazil, Ana is an avid advocate for the advancement of underrepresented groups in STEM fields.
In her free time, Ana enjoys competing in hackathons, stargazing, backpacking, and scuba diving. She is currently in the bachelor’s program studying Computer Science.
