Mission
Established in 2001, the Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) serves more than 16,000 students annually at Harvard Extension, one of Harvard University’s 13 schools. HESA’s mission is to build and foster a strong sense of community among the Extension School’s diverse student body, including our distance education students from around the world. Through a myriad of initiatives, HESA aims to enrich the Harvard Extension student experience by creating opportunities to develop lifelong friendships.
Alexandria Robins – President

Alexandria is an ALB degree candidate concentrating in Government with a minor in Economics. A proud Atlanta native, she has worked in politics on the state level focusing on women’s advocacy. She is also a founding member of Harvard Students for Hillary. In her free time, Alexandria is an avid runner and enjoys traveling with her family. Ramel Racelis – Vice President

Ramel Racelis is a graduate student studying Sustainability and Environmental Management with a concentration on Ecosystems. He has experience in organizational development, logistics, leadership development, event planning, and strategy in both local and national organizations. When Ramel’s not studying he enjoys nature, photography, extreme sports, and tennis. If you see him say hi! Peter Lam – Director of Finance

Peter is an ALB candidate concentrating in Psychology with a minor in economics. Outside of Harvard, Peter is passionate about learning new languages and one day hopes to travel the world.

Derrick Ambrose – Director of Communications

Hailing from South Florida, Derrick currently resides in Cambridge and is an ALB candidate concentrating in English with a minor in Business Communications. Outside of Harvard, Derrick has enjoyed a successful literary career, having been featured in various publications. Email

Alexander Rodriguez – Director of Events

Alexander Rodriguez is an ALM Finance degree candidate and a recent JD & MBA graduate from Miami, FL. Before moving to Cambridge, Alexander operated multiple small businesses. He also spent 10 years organizing large scale concerts and events throughout South Florida.Email

Misan Oteri – Director of Clubs Affairs

Misan is an ALB Candidate concentrating in the social sciences. Of Nigerian descent, his family has its American roots in Houston, but he now lives in Somerville and loves it. He was a Sr. Technical Analyst with Verizon wireless, and while there he started two companies — a real estate investment, and a transportation company. He has since wound down both companies, and is looking for another opportunity to test his entrepreneurial mettle. In his spare time, he volunteers as a tutor at Phil Brooks House and is an amateur photographer. Email

Klaus Holder – Director of Information Systems

Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Klaus is an ALB degree candidate concentrating in Computer Science. Working at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education as an Access and Disability Services tech intern has introduced him to accessibility needs in technology. In his free time, he enjoys playing, creating, and discussing games. Email

John Ayroso – Director of Student Affairs

John is a native Texan and a current A.L.B candidate at Harvard Extension. John has been involved in organizations like the Boston Asian American Film Festival, Kuumba Singers of Harvard College, Kollaboration Boston, Texas All-State Men’s Choir, and Texas Thespians. Also, he has participated in political campaigning and music performing. He will be interning in the Texas Senate. Email

Viviana Formoso – Creative Consultant

Emerging from the glistening shores of Miami Beach, FL Viviana is an ALB Degree Candidate concentrating in Visual Arts with a minor in Marketing. She is the first Harvard University Dell Campus Representative, as well as a Faculty Aide for a Capstone professor of Harvard University. Maintaining a dynamic range of creative abilities, Viviana has worked in multiple industries from fashion, to design, social media and more. An active photographer, you can find her perusing around campus documenting life at Harvard.
