Mission Established in 2001, the Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) serves more than 16,000 students annually at Harvard Extension, one of Harvard University’s 13 schools. HESA’s mission is to build and foster a strong sense of community among the Extension School’s diverse student body, including our distance education students from around the world. Through a myriad of initiatives, HESA aims to enrich the Harvard Extension student experience by creating opportunities to develop lifelong friendships.
Krishan Arora He is currently an A.L.B Degree candidate at Harvard Extension. He served as President of the Harvard Extension Student Association, Representative at Large for the Harvard Graduate Council and was also recently appointed to be the 2013 Harvard Campus Representative for Apple. Having been involved with the Harvard wide student community for over 2 years now, Krishan has collaborated on many events such as the 2011 and 2013 Harvard Leadership Conference, Harvard Masquerade Ball, TEDxCambridge, TEDxSomerville, Harvard 375th and the Lectures that Last event. Concentrating in Economics with a minor in Management, Krishan brings his extensive knowledge of event management to this team. His interests lie in the fields of astrophysics and technology, as he loves spending time watching informative nature documentaries and eating Thai food.

Monika Lutz – Vice President and HESA-HGC Rep Originally from Colorado, Monika is currently an ALB degree candidate. Monika was a distance student in Shanghai, Singapore and Washington D.C. prior to moving to Cambridge this summer. She previously participated in HESA by serving as the Distance Student Ambassador in 2011-2012. Outside of Harvard, Monika works full time and has traveled to many countries. She is here to serve you!

Sam Barlow – Director of Finance Originally from Washington, D.C., Sam currently resides in Cambridge and is currently an ALB degree candidate in Economics. Outside of Harvard, Sam has worked in politics, most recently at the state lobbying level in Utah.

Meagan HoChing – Director of Marketing Originally from American Samoa, Meagan currently resides in Cambridge and is an ALB degree candidate concentrating in Social Sciences. Outside of Harvard, Meagan was active in AmeriCorps for several years.

Pan Du – Director of Technology A Massachusetts native, Pan is currently an ALM degree candidate in Biotechnology and resides in Worcester, MA. Outside of Harvard, Pan works in the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a BS from UMass-Amherst.

Sol Grey – Director of Student Affairs Soloman currently resides in the Boston area and is currently an ALB degree candidate concentrating in Clinical Psychology. Outside of Harvard, Soloman is an accomplished artist.

Viqar Hussain – Director Of Strategy Originally from upstate New York, Viqar currently resides in Cambridge and is currently an ALM degree candidate in Biotechnology.Viqar holds a BS from SUNY-Buffalo.

Jessamyn Spain – Director Of Events Originally from Washington, D.C., Jessamyn currently resides in Cambridge and is currently an ALB degree candidate in International Relations with a minor in Middle Eastern studies and Government. Jessamyn holds an AA in Business Administration.

Saba Shah – Manager Of Administration A Florida native, Saba currently resides in Cambridge and is an ALB degree candidate.

Christy Lee – Director of Club Affairs / HESA-HGC Rep Christy currently resides in the Boston area and is currently an ALM degree candidate in Government. Outside of Harvard, Christy is also pursuing a MBS at Berit Theological Seminary and Graduate School and is conducting research at The Graduate Institute in Geneva.

Grace Hsu – Operations Liaison / HESA-HGC Rep Originally from Taiwan, Grace currently resides in Cambridge and is currently an ALM degree candidate in Biotechnology. Outside of Harvard, Grace has pursued her interests in art.

Joanne Wong – Distance Student Ambassador Joanne currently resides in Singapore and is currently an ALB degree candidate concentrating in International Relations with a minor in Economics.
